Originally from Los Angeles, Edee has been living in Montana since 1997. She was a professional horse trainer, since 1972, and art has been her way to cope with the stress of equestrian competition.
She attended the Laguna Beach School of Art specializing in watercolors, for 3 years.
She started her painting on canvas classes in 1993, using acrylics. She also taught art classes to her riding students as a way to open up their minds, and found that it calmed and centered them.
After too many years of California freeways, her goal then became to move to a place that looked like the paintings she was dreaming up, so she moved to Montana!
Horses are now her hobby and art is her number #1 interest.
She specializes in teaching how to draw & paint horses and use them in landscapes. Teaching how the tack, saddles, and equipment need to look to be professional is a key element to her classes. LIVE HORSES and RIDERS will be used ......weather permitting! This is FUN and anyone can do it! Using ''The Artists Way'' book method, Edee teaches classes for all medias of art. She highly recommends this book by Julia Cameron and requests all of her students to use it.
