A quiet country scene is the
subject of most of my paintings and oil is my medium of choice.

There’s something about he way you apply the paint to the canvas that seems to bring me back to oils even though I have had good results with other mediums.
I have always enjoyed painting and working with clay and hope the viewer gets as much enjoyment out of the piece as I have in creating it.

My background is varied.  I studied Art Education at Montana State University for three years, Glendale Community College two years and Graduated from Boise State University with a BFA Art Education.  I also took classes at MSU-B.  I taught in Billings School District as a substitute, Art teacher, Graphics Art Teacher and classes in Adult Education.

I have studied under Doris Jones, Hall Diteman, Ben Steele, Bruce Haughy and others. I attended two Pro Art workshops.
I belong to the Billings Arts Association, the Carbon County Art Guild, the Cody County Art League, and the Artist’s Co-Op Gallery – now Sandstone Gallery in Billings.

At present I am the Gallery Co-director at Sandstone Gallery.
